The Second Child: A story of Hope, abuse, generational mental illness and addiction, and families by Regina Toffolo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Raw and Honest
Covering the course of the author's life, this book is a reckoning or a unburdening, of her emotions, sorrows, joys and memories about her past. Her life as the second biological child was important and counted and deserves to be told.
I found this book to be very interesting. Especially as I am younger, it is good to have a view if how the older generations dealt with abuse, mental health issues and addictions. The honesty in this book is refreshing and can be a valuable teacher.
