Susan: A Jane Austen Prequel by Alice McVeigh

Susan is a young woman in Jane Austen’s world. She is poor, pretty and confident in what she wants out of life, which does not always align with what society expects from her. Her willfulness is enough to get her sent away over and over.
I enjoyed this story, I haven’t read Jane Austen, but I liked the independence of the main character and how she manipulates (sometimes successful and other times not so much) around her to make her life better. Great Historical Romance.
