My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I'd say older teens at least, as there are some sexier moemnts in the book without full intercourse. The dialogue (since someone mentioned this in a different review) is on par with who this girl is. Thrown into a new world where she is a witch, she will be attending a prestigious college for Warlocks, her father knew all this was real and the cute fox from her backyard is actually a quite handsome man who is also her familiar.
The next book does get better in terms of writing and how Charlotte acts, since she is in the midst of a major world upheaval. She learns that her unorthodox upbringing as a human may actually be for the best.
