RECLAIMING OUR OWNRECLAIMING OUR OWN by Christopher Irons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Reclaiming our own is a rapidly paced thriller, where our main character, Brett Moore witnesses the abduction of his Nephew Cameron and shortly thereafter, he himself wakes up in chains. Just how far is Brett, an ex-Soldier willing to go to save not just himself but his family members? The author places a horrific vision in front of us in this novel, where we will have to contemplate just what our reactions would be if our loved ones were to be placed in this same position. The dangerous situation for Brett is challenging and he will have to rely on all of his past training in order to survive and get justice.
A great plot that was engaging and yes thrilling. In that sense it was a page turner where I was anxious to see what would happen with these characters. I didn’t’ care for Riley and Adele, I couldn’t connect with their characters that much. Also, the writing was not smooth, there were many short sentences in the action scene that didn’t allow it to flow smoothly.
