Wolfhampton: President Trump - Money, Mayhem, and Murder in the Hamptons. by Jay Fitzpatrick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book is set in a fictional version of today’s political world. President Trump, First Lady Melania and their son Barron are in the Hamptons enjoying a vacation when the unthinkable happens. A double murder that is ruled as homicide with a Russian Oligarch as the prime Suspect. The little issue is that President Trump was staying at that Oligarchs mansion, and now the Democrats led by Schumer and Pelosi are considering a deal with the literal devil to get rid of President Trump once and for all. Will the President be able to finagle himself out of this situation? And Just how far is President Putin willing to go to enforce his toehold of power in America?
Billed as a political satire, I did not find much humor here that wasn’t tried, overdone or simply fell flat. The many issues that a good editor could have fixed were also disappointing to find. I think that if this book goes through another round of editing, there is some potential. I wanted to like it more than I actually did.
