I found this to be a poignant and mesmerizing story. The biography of this authors journey to find peace, his agonizing decision to leave his home country he loves so much for a different country was easily able to garner sympathy and commiseration from me. (I myself immigrated from my home country). The book chronicles the deep roots of racism form the overt to the covert that is prevalent in the united states. This is a book that most should read, especially those who believe that there is no racism in the USA today.
