Simon Says by William Poe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Simon is a troubled man who has a dark past. This is the first of a series of books that chronicle his journey of self-discovery. Showcasing his ups and especially his downs, his flirting with many types of drugs and his self-destructive behavior, as he attempts to deal with his emotional trauma from his years with the Unification Church.
This was a deep book; it is not lighthearted as it shouldn’t be. The topic of self-identity and the issues this can cause you is handled very well. I highly recommend getting all three books in this series.
